Making your settings follow you across computers and allowing projects to be shared within your company (performance of the agreement).
Support requests The text, screenshots and files you send through the support form or by email. Answering your request (performance of the agreement).
Website Server logs with IP address, browser and requested pages; a login cookie when you sign in. No advertising or tracking cookies are used. Security and operating the website (legitimate interest); keeping you signed in (necessary for the service).
Sample project Vitreo downloads the Mvitec sample project from our servers when you ask for it. Only the request itself (account and installation data) is logged. Providing the demo content you requested.

3. What stays on your PC

Your SOLIDWORKS files, the local Vitreo database, exported files, Pack and Go packages and the web pages you publish with Vitreo Web are not sent to Mvitec. They are created and stored on your own computer, network or server. Web pages published with Vitreo Web are shared by you, with whom you choose; Mvitec does not host them and has no access to them.

4. Where the data is stored and who sees it

Data is stored on servers hosted in the European Union by our hosting provider. It is not sold or passed to third parties, except to hosting and email providers needed to operate the service, to a payment provider when you purchase a license, and where the law requires it. Mvitec does not transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area.

5. How long we keep it

  • Account, license and installation data: for as long as your account exists, and up to 2 years after it is closed.
  • Error reports and heartbeats: up to 1 year.
  • Vitreo settings: for as long as your account exists; deleted when the account is deleted.
  • Invoices and purchase data: 7 years, as required by Dutch tax law.
  • Website server logs: up to 90 days.

6. Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you can ask us for access to your personal data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Send your request to maurice@mvitec.com; we answer within one month. Deleting your account ends your licenses. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

7. Security

Connections between the software, the installer, the website and our servers are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored hashed. Access to the servers is restricted to Mvitec. Vitreo stores server passwords for the Share feature only on your own PC, encrypted by Windows for your user account, never on our servers.

8. Changes

We may update this statement when the software or the law changes. The current version is always available at mvitec.com/Privacy; the version date at the top tells you when it was last changed.
